    Color Imagerunner

Hey guys, I don't do alot of color, but, have several out, mostly the 4080/5185 series. What is a recommendation for replacing these in the off-lease category? I have one customer in particular that is looking to replace his. Speed isn't the issue so much, but wants to be able to run 12 pt. 14 pt. business cards.....Just looking for opinions on whats reliable and what is junk in the color imagerunners....Thanks!!

Ir Adv c7000 series has a similar twin vbelt fuser. 5051 is a film, 3380 is a film so I don't know if that would fuse your specialty paper properly.

Thanks for the replies. Do you think the 3380 would suffice? they will not be running a massive amount, but will use it for their short run stuff. Anyone have any experience with these using thicker paper?

The 3380 is a good machine; although it does use a fixingfilm it is a lot stronger than in previous models & very rarely fails. Drumlife is also good but only on OEM toner, not great when running machine on nonOEM.

              ---------------
              Paper Drawer
(17 lb bond to 90 lb index
              (64 to 163 g/m2))

-Heavy 1 paper is from 32 lb bond to 90 lb index (106 to 163 g/m2). If heavy paper is loaded in a paper drawer, the
              2-Sided mode cannot be selected.

OK for Paper areas (Paper Drawer-Stack Bypass ) "do not use in deck"

              -Heavy 2 paper is from 65 to 80 lb cover (164 to 220 g/m2)
do not use this type/ weight in Paper Drawer---or deck

              Using the Stack Bypass]]
              - Paper Quantity: one to approximately 50 sheets (20 lb bond (80 g/m2), stack
              approximately 1/4" (5 mm) high)
              - Paper Size: 3 15/16" x 5 7/8" to 12 5/8" x 18" (99 mm x 140 mm to 320 mm x 457 mm)
              - Paper Weight: 17 lb bond to 80 lb cover (64 to 220 g/m2)Depending on the type of heavy paper you want to load, if you load multiple sheets of heavy paper into the stack bypass, a paper jam may occur. In this case, load only one sheet of heavy paper at a time.

              Paper Deck
              Paper-----------
              (17 to 28 lb bond
              (64 to 105 g/m2))
