    [Error Code] IRADV8095 E017-0001 and E996-400

    Just for the Records:
I fought today with a IRADV8095 throwing me an E017-001 (ITB home position failure) and an E996-400 (Software Timeout failure [WTF?] ) in a row, but not steady (that would be far too easy), just every 300-400 sheets it throws first an E017, after a few minutes an E996
I upgrade the software to the latest and greatest, check for mechanical issues all to no avail. After a long time of try and error, i figured out, that this problem only occurs while using custom size paper (in this case 250x350 mm). As a temporary fix the customer prints on DIN A3
sheets, at least he will get his job done but with much more paper usage. I forwarded this problem to canon and we will see, what happens. This has nothing to do with the tech note "F1-T01-N11-10081"

Just a " Head Up" to you if you are running into similar problems
Stay tuned, I will keep you informed
    Greetings from Germany

    Hello Herrmann.

Have you upgraded the DC-CON ?

What is the state of PS55 and PS56 once the error code E017 is displayed ?

Ram clears??? Any E-197 errors logged? These machines have issues with fixing feeder connector at the rear of machine...ETB sensor signal runs though the connector I would imagine. Run it...warms up...expands. Clean both connectors(on drawer and at rear). Canon has a kit to improve rear connection...basically a couple washers and springs. Or you might have a flakey photo-interrupt. E-17-0001 is disengagement,0002 is engagement. Swap ps 55 and 56 and see if it changes to 0002 sub code. If so,bad sensor. These advance machines use the cheapest photo-interrupts. Make sure ETB moves up and down smoothly...any drag will crash the stepper motor

found a solution, and what a wierd one:
if you enter 350,3 x 250 the mashine works well
        straight 350x250 throws the error
im am going for a voodoo session now
