I have refurbish canon ir 5870 and got this error E00061 - 0001.
What does it mean?
please help..

Many reason..

Firstly clean or change primary corona wire before checking others.

Code means the Drum is not turning properly - check the Locking Bracket & Screw in the front Drum Shaft - if ok check the screws in the large Drive Gear at the Rear of the Drum Drive.

It is a potential control error.... like stated make sure drum turns(i've dealt with screw to secure to drum shaft as stated. Also changed MANY wiring harnesses at front of process unit...wiring for potential control sensor,pre-exposure. A quick check...turn off potential control and initial rotations in service mode. Reboot. Make a copy. Does it have an image(at all). If yes, the drum is turning and not the issue. Then check if VL and VD are in spec. If VD is way too low,either primary charging issue or potential control issue(harness or sensor assembly). Hate these machines.....ASI drum in a color machine...gimme a break. Make sure you re-enable potential control and initial rotations after you get it fixed
