    Usend license switch???!!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove a universal send license installed on one machine and move it to another machine? Delivery guys placed machines in wrong location and physically switching the machines in not an option. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Yes but I think you have to get Esupport involved. I'll check and see.

in level 2 of the service mode , copier>option>lcns-tr. select st-send enter 0, and press ok . a new transfer license number will be displayed at tr-send record number and use accordingly

In order to transfer a license you will need to contact the Technical Support Center,You will be required to have the serial numbers of the old device and the new device and the Transfer Key disable code obtained from the old device in Service Mode. You must call TSC 18005282830, if you are an authorized dealer you shouldn't have a problem.

No dongle required. Follow screwtapes instructions. That is how its done.I have done it.

AND..i have to do it today for a 4 month old iRC3580 that me and a fellow tech murdered..!!!
To cut a long story short...the rib on the transfer belt came of and jammed itself into the yellow drum and locked up the drum drive gears.
We couldn't pull the process unit out and in trying to do so bent the frame of the machine.
Once we got it up and running we found that if you attached both screws that anchor in the process unit you had transfer issues...but if you left one screw out you had a squeal from the drum/itb drive motor.
End result..Canon have DOA the machine and given us a replacement...have to swap finisher, buffer pass, fax, and all licences.
According to my service manager Canon support have told us to ring when we're onsite and ready to go and they'll do it immediately...
