    Error e000004-0020 on a imageRUNNER c6800

Hello- Our copier is acting up and this is the error we are reciving-

    e000004-0020

    also

    e000006-0001

(i just found the lower message looking through the log in the service menu, 98% of all the errors were this message!)

It seems to print one job fine, then the printer keeps "warming up" on the screen then the message appears. Once the message appears for a few minutes the screen goes black, but the lights for power stays on and it becomes unresponsive unless we manually shut it down with the switch.
Any help would be appreceated. Thanks alot!

The E004-0020 is a fusing thermistor error. However the E006-001 is a fuser drawer not connected error. The E006 maybe causing the other.
In either case the fuser drawer would be the first place to start looking for a problem.

ok- i looked at where i think the fuser is- The large hot item in the main drawer. it looks farily new but there is some plastic around it that looks melted to me- Could this mean its getting too hot? the plastic was not hot when i touched it but it could have happened from an error before- The unit has just over 1 million on it count- Thanks

If it looks that bad then it is time for a service call.Be sure to tell them all the codes you have and the condition of the fuser.

It is probably caused by flat spots on the upper or lower fuser rollers.

              Let us know

Drawer connector is a known problem on this machine. There is a modified connector kit available from Canon. Flat spots on fuser roll cause e-004..e-061 is because of bad connector. If he is just re-building fuser probably will not fix problem. Drawer connector has to be replaced with mod..this will fix everything probably

sounds like drawer connector canon issued some shims winch are brass washers to put under the screws that hold the drawer connecters in place, twoshims per connector. i have used paper to shim the connecter, same efect
