possibility is that the paper size selected for the stack bypass in the menu does not match the paper actually set on the stack bypass.

    Workaround :

    imageRUNNER 2000 / 1600

    set bypass setting to OFF

    1. Press Additional Functions.
    2. Press OK for 1. Common Settings
    3. Go to 4. Use Stack Bypass
    4. Press OK
    5. Make sure the the Stack Bypass setting is set to OFF. If it is ON use the arrow key to change it.
When the setting of the Stack Bypass is set to ON, the machine will only allow you to choose one paper size. For example if you set it to LTR, and place 11X17 on the glass, and place LTR-R in the stack bypass tray, and run the copy, the message ''Incorrect Paper Size'' will occur. The machine will lock up, and you will have to either open and close the front cover or turn the machine off and on again to get out of it.
When the setting is set to OFF, when you place a document in the bypass tray, it will allow you to choose the correct paper size.
