[Misc] No image while making black copy

Good day! i'm having a problem with my Canon ir c5870 ( refurbish ) . when making a copy B/W,there is no image on the output. I tried several times still no copy. Developing assembly new clean still no output
Does Someone help me.....ASAP

Hi Romel85, IF this is a NEW BLACK DEVELOPING UNIT you may need to initialise in SRV MODE.

Supplying BlackToner 0002-6727

1) Check to see that the warm-up period is over (i.e.,Keep paper in the machine so that the control panelwill indicate the message "Ready to Copy").2) Execute the following service mode item to supplyblack toner: FUNCTION>INSTALL>TONER-S (10min avr; 13 min max.).While this service mode item is under way, acountdown is made on the control panel; at the end,

'OK!' is indicated.

I am thinking that we had issues with a connector on the developer unit at one point in time. I would check those connectors on that unit once again.

So Color Copies are OK ??????????????

TestM25 ( Black toner supply motor ) under Part Check
Do this only once it may back up on you.
Be careful when checking/& installing the 3 pin toner sensor (TS1) connector J209L of the black developer unit.
Check Ohms if needed on both sides of the connector J209DH as a poor connection can cause this problem. NO BLACK

Check to see if the primary transfer roller is locked in place with a screw.

oddly enough the first time we got a 5870 I struggled with that stupid lever too. Figured it out and cried.

if color copies are good and black copies are blank then I would have to think it is somewhere in the AP unit dealing with black developer unit.
