      you have an error code with your finisher.
      Go into service mode to find out what the issue is so you can correct it
      Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

          Finisher can not be used
          The Finisher can not be used error message is indicated and the finisher is in Limited Functions Mode at power on with no error codes displayed on the control panel.




          By going through the steps below the printer was recovered back to ready state.


          1. Turn 'OFF' the restricted function by selecting Additional Functions > Common Settings > Limited Functions Mode
          2. Turn off the main engine and all the accessories
          3. Turn on first all the accessories from left to right
          4. Turn on the main engine

          Note:
          A. Be sure to turn on the power in the correct order otherwise it may cause an error because the host machine fails to recognize accessories. There is no power-on order among accessories.

          B. Be sure to turn off the main power by holding the power switch on control panel for 3 sec or more to protect hard disk of the host machine.

          The machine can be configured to limit only certain functions with Department ID Management, allowing non-limited functions to be used from the copier control panel without first entering a valid Department ID and password. This can be accomplished using the Limit Functions option on the device.

          To configure the Limit Functions option:

          1. Hit Additional Functions > System Settings > Dept. ID Management.

          2. Turn 'On' Dept. ID Management, if it is not already enabled.

          3. Press the 'Register Dept. ID/Password' button.

          4. Hit the 'Limit Functions' button.

          5. Select 'On' or 'Off' next to the functions (other than the Copy function) you want to limit using Department ID Management. When set to 'On', Department ID Management is set for the selected function. When set to 'Off', Department ID Management is disabled for the selected function.

          The configurable functions include:

          - Mail Box: The Mail Box tab on the copier's LCD.

          - Send: The Send tab on the copier's LCD.

          - Other: For functions other than the Copy, Mail Box, and Send functions (ex. the Scan tab, the Printer tab, etc).

          6. Press OK.
          **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
