in ir 2318 machine shows an error of "LOAD PLAIN A4 SIZE PAPER"
i had -
1.clean the clutches
2.change the rubber rolle
3.paper quality is all right
4.checkout most of the parts
now i have doubt that this can be happen because of fault in the fixing unit (because the paper jam in the fixing unit, and sometimes it jams in the drawer)

it shows when paper jam in fixing unit and also when it pass out from fixing unit

Replace the registration clitch.

is this message to load A4 show when u print from other sizes ? No, but it shows to load correct paper size which is used at that time
like if I use A3 and if jams than it shows to load correct paper A3

i had change the registration clutch but i works for few copies or prints

Teckat's lead is good; It has something to do with paper size settings, do this: Place A4 size papers in the cassette, After selecting the correct paper size as demanded by the machine, power cycle the machine to allow the settings to take effect. I had a similar problem with an iR2018, tossed me up and down for seveal minutes till I 'accidentally' switched the machine off then on, after selecting paper size. Then when I tried the message had disappeared and it worked. I can't explain why it happened that way, but it worked. Yours may be similar or different.

Remove> reseat the Dimms and Connectors on the Main Controller.
