    IRA 2535

    Hello everyone I hope you are all well.

    I have inherited this black only copier, not too much experience with them.

    I have replaced the drum, as per the SM.

    The copies are ok, but I can only describe it as dirty, across the entire page.

    I cant see anything in the SM to clean, apart from whats in the control panel / maintance

    Can anyone point me in the right direction with this machine?

    Thanks

    Is this dirt from the start or come with new drum? Did you check fixing unit? Print report print from menu to isolate scanner. Oem toner? Visually inspect developer! I believe this model don't have any more parts

    Post a sample!

      Try a new developing assembly.

        Try these: Remove the developing unit and thoroughly clean the magnetic roller, getting rid of any dirt coatings on it. After, check that the magnetic brush is uniformly, distributed(evenly) across the magnetic roller. 2) Go the exposure unit, remove the platen glass and thoroughly clean the optics there, including the cis unit. Clean the platen glass with moist cloth and dry very well. Don't forget to clean the stream reading glass as well. Clean the underside of the ADF very well.

          Re: IRA 2535

          Hello

          I have verified that the drum has recently been changed and visually inspected it for imperfections on the surface, looked fine.

          I removed the fuser, again looked fine, no imperfections on the fuser film

          I removed the developer and cleaned inside the machine, as previous post said not a lot in these black copiers, not a lot in the service manual for image issues either - I am used to colour IRC / imagerunner type devices

          Anyhow, I put it back together and run about 100 copies, which were fine, then it started putting lines on the page, both through copying and printing, so my thoughts are to change the developer, see attached link for lines;

          Can anyone give me an idea why this is happening, my thoery being either a foreign object / debris in the developer, or clumped toner in the developer? - always learning

          Thanks as always
