Need help with newly-acquired but older equipment

    Hey all,

Was Googling my problem and while I couldn't find the exact info I needed, it seemed like this was a great hub of info.

My non-profit just took delivery of two copiers/printers that seem very nice but we are having a bit of trouble with them. The two are:

-- Canon ir600 with network board
-- Canon/Kodak ColorEdge with Fiery XJK network server

It seems that the previous owner thought that it would be best to delete the settings on each of these machines before he sent them to us so as to start us with fresh settings, but what he seemed to have done is delete the operating system on both of these machines.

The ir600 copies fine, but when attempting to enter the print interface setup, it wants me to load a firmware image through a parallel cable?

The Fiery XJK says won't boot and says similar things.

Is there anything I can do to make these work? Anyway to recover the operating systems on each of these so I can network them? I looked around to see if there was anywhere I could download/purchase this software, but I seem to be out of luck--the company we have a contract with doesn't have this software anymore due to its age, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's available at all.

Any help would be great--thanks so much!
