    C9060Pro

I have a machine that when switched on 1st thing in the morning (either from sleep mode or from being switched off) it shows a phantom jam (0CF1 jam). open and close the front door and the jam disappears but the machine will then show close door message but it doesn't show which door?!

A bit of playing about with covers and the machine works (can take 10/15 minutes). This happens every morning but once the customer gets the messages away the machine will then work ok till the next morning and have to go through the same process.

The machine has 2.7 million on it 559k B/W and 2.2 Colour. It is 2 years old and the fault started a couple of weeks ago. All fuser parts have been replaced along with M47 (fixing pressure lift up motor). Another engineer found the fuser entry sensor sticking so cleaned sensor and flag but the fault is still appearing every morning.

any ideas or pointers greatly received, cheers

When 0CF1, 0CA1, 0CA2 or 0CA3 are displayed in the UI, follow the display instructions (open door, move lever, etc.) three times without power cycling the engine.

The machine will then display the actual error code that these retry codes are masking.

Jam code 0CF1 Is Occurring at Power On

0CF1 is a logic jam and normally is proceeded by an error code in the error history. In this case, there was no error code displayed in the history.

    Solution :
In this case, replacing the sensor PCB for sensor UN17 resolved the power on jam. The part number for the UN17 sensor PCB is FM3-9577-000.

When a 0CF1 Jam Code occurs, check for the corresponding Error Code in the Error Log and troubleshoot using that Error.
