Canon IR 2270 unresponsive

I have an Image Runner 2270 complaint is machine locks up when trying to print or copy , we responded to see exactly that , if you tell it to copy sometimes it works great but then it will stop copying and in the display reads copying and nothing happens , we have to turn the machine off and back on again and it will start working briefly then lock up again ,

Sounds possibly like a hard drive or firmware issue. Have you updated the firmware? I know on the Image runner 3300s they had a lot of hard drive issues. If it were me I would probably try to update the firmware first.
