How do you change fix paper size?

Good day everyone.

Few days ago i saw some of the machines ir7200, ir105, ir7095 come with fix A3 paper size at tray 4 and when i squat down to peep inside OMG there is no sensors. Its nonadjustable tray 4. In this case normally most of the machines come with adjustable tray 3 and tray 4. But how can the machines recognize only A3 paper at tray 4 without the sensors at the rear of the machines? Is it just taking out those sensors and will it recognize automatically? I dont think so.

Yes you program it in sm. I think its in option/cst. I'm sure somebody will jump in with more info at some point today.

Copier > Option > CST > P-sz-1 (and 2)

set to 2 for LRT. This is from the 7055 adv manual so it may not have 2. Set it to one, get out of serv mode and see if it shows as LTR. You don't need to reboot for this change to take effect.

On the 5000 it's copier/option/cst/p-sz-c4. A3 value is 04. A4 value is 06. 7105 should be the same. If not try numbers close to those. That sets the size for cst 4. No sensors. A3 is default.

It also happen in Ir5000 machine tho.

What size do you need it to be/
You have to use a screwdriver to adjust the guides.

LETTER size is either 16 or 18

For example we take Ir105 and Ir7200 both service mode almost the same. I need to set tray 4 to use only A3 and nonadjustable. What value or other procedure should i set inside the service mode?

Normally there are no settings in service mode for cassette no 4 in iR7200,8500,105 and 7105.
To fix the size to A3 maybe you can screw the size adjusters in place so it cannot be adjusted.
Usually the paper width detecting voloume SVR2 and SVR3 makes trouble, unscrew and fix anywhere else but do not unplug the connector.

One post you talk of cassettes 3 and 4 .....another post you talk about right and left decks....to set it straight...cas 3 and 4 the guides tell the machine the paper size. If wrong recalibrate the vr....cop/function/cassette...set the guides to the screen size...close the cassette...hit ok. Do for both cassettes(3 and 4). Left and right paper decks...cop/opt/cas/...psz c1 and c2...set to 18 for ltr. Also under cop/opt/body/model-sz...set to 1 for inch configuration. 5000 has nothing to do with this machine family. On a 5000 you screw down the guides for paper size in cassettes. In 105,7200,7105,etc....guides can be moved by customer
