    Help with Canon 5870

    Hello Everyone,

I need your help once again...I have rebuilt the finisher, with all new rollers, new bearings, etc. The printer seems to work but the image is really light. I'm wondering if I did something wrong? or is there a reset that needs to happen in order for it to print better. Let me know what you guys think, as always I appreciate all of the help from this forum.

First of all go kick whoever sold you that machine in the head, three times minimum.

once that's over be sure you clean the corona's. Run an auto grad adjustment and post a PG10 for us to see and we'll go from there :-)

oops sorry. Do you know how to get into service mode (add functions, 2+8, add functions) Then go into copier > test > select PG > enter 10 press the ok on the screen and then start. Scan to pdf us and it will help us tremendously in helping you out.

I guess you need an experienced Canon tech to handle this one if you can find one around!
