Here's a few more ideas. Firstly, have you actually run a set of test leads to the solenoid itself and tested to see if it does get 24Vdc while you are running the service test for it? The reason why I'm asking this is that I am thinking that it might be a mechanical problem. So the voltage might be arriving at the solenoid but it is unable to advance the web for one reason or another.
The best way to do this test is to get two lengths of solid core 20 ish gauge wire and strip off 1/4 inch off of all of the ends to expose bare wire which you will insert into the solenoid connection and tape down. Then run the wires out of the copier so the door can easily close without worrying about door latching issues or even fuser assembly engaging issues. Then use your multimeter to get a live voltage reading of what is really happening deep down in the heart of this electro-mechanical beast. Heck, it's as close to a true "in circuit component test" as you can get. Anyhow, if it passes this test then you are then hunting for a mechanical problem.

      Hey Ron,

      Tried that,

Not getting any voltage coming to the connector for the solenoid.

Doublechecked that I have continuity from DC connector on Fuser assembly to connector

      No issues with that.

So now it appears I am Not getting voltage through the 20 pin connector J3001.

Where on the DC controller board would I check for voltage output.

      thanks

        OK Update:

It appears that the 24V power supply that supplies J512 on the Main PCB is faulty.

I am not getting any power at any of the Connections on this point.

I am ordering a new PS for it and we will see if it fixes the issue.

THanks again for all the help.

If you're smashing your head against the wall usually it's a tie-wrap, but I assume that's all been done already. There's a connector at the back of the fixing/feeding frame that connects with one at the rear of the innards of the unit itself. There may be a piece of paper or something stuck there. I've yet to have to go there on my units but there may be a connector that attaches to the black socket.

            Hi Northern,

Yeah we checked all that already,

With the machine powered up, door closed, checking voltages, on the Relay PCB (J512) pins 1, 3,4, 5,6 which are supposed to be 24V DC are getting 0 volts, this goes directly to the 24V Power Supply Left side through the wiring harness. No other PCB's or circuits involved.

So it stands to reason that the PS is faulty and that is the reason we are not getting any voltage at the connector which is giving the E005-001 code.

Anyway I am hoping that is the issue, lord knows we spent the entire day tracing and checking connections and continuity.

Thanks as always for all the support!!!

There are several soldered fuses on the dc board as also on the ps board, you should ohm them out, and if one is faulty, replace at first. Also you should have a closer look at the solder joints, because due to the ROHS rules the manufactor uses lead free solder. If in doubt, resolder them.

That was one of the first things that we checked Herrman!!!

All of the fuses ohm'd out as Good, no blown fuses!!

As for the solder joints its possible, but we have a new PS on order now, so I will just wait until it comes in.

IF it turns out to NOT be the PS, what else might I check?

                THanks again

There is some info on this issue, about 12V being missing between J108 on the main driver pcb and J522 on the relay pcb
