What is windows based printing opposed to just printing in the web app.

Customer is moving from printing from a web based application . Moving to what is being called. Microsoft Windows Based printing. ................ Is this just regular printing? There is no domain and from what we hear the printers that are set up as shared are going to break. So while still using the web based software. What is happening? How is the ability to share printers being broken while requiring a Postscript " windows based printing " I hope this wasn't a dumb question. There is no domain. Several peer to peer set ups.

What is happening that breaks shared printer setups ? After moving to windows based printing from Printing in web app, sending instructions to printers. No domain.

Hi, i think your client is going from a web based printing system like SAP or citryx (simply put it's similar to working on a external server that does all the work and you install the printer on that web server itself only) to a windows print system (the local computer printing system, you install the printer in each computer or at a local server in that location) so being all the printer shares made on the web based (external) "server" will be lost once they stop using it, hope it helps to clarify the situation, it's like using a remote access service to access your home computer but to print where you are or printing something you have on your local computer.
