    [Jamming] canon IR 2870 jam code 010D

    hi every body
    i have canon IR2870 with finisher and 3 way option
    when making two sided copy
    paper jam between 3 way door and right machine door
    without any scew or crashing
    jam code is 010D
    please help

      Based on the service manual it's a (delay jam in the duplex feed sensor PS17)

          Intermittent Jam Code 010D when Duplexing.


          Check the One-Way on the back of the A1 unit. ( located on the Right Door) If the One-way is slipping it could cause intermittent 010D Jams. Replace if needed, FU5-3018-000.

          010D only when running duplex copies.


          The problem has been found to be caused by the duplex/feed sensor PI 17 becoming dirty. The sensor is located in the transfer roller housing in the image below. It is called the duplexing internal guide in the parts book. One half of this unit is found on figure140 right door assembly. The other half is found on figure 141, paper feeder frame assembly.



          There is an opening between the two plastic guides in this assembly. Toner drops down and clogs the eye of the sensor.
          To access the sensor open the right door and remove the silver screw shown in the image below. You will need to use a stubby screw driver.



          Once the screw has been removed the two plastic housings can be separated and the sensor is clearly visible. It can be cleaned or replaced. The part number for the sensor is FK2-0149-000. The part number for the flag is FC5-0657-000, duplexing feeder sensor flag. The part number for the sensor flag spring is FC5-0658-000, torsion spring.



          After cleaning the sensor it can be checked using the I/O mode. Service mode > Copier > I/O > DC CON > screen 3 of 5 P021 bit # 2.
          **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
