If you find in Service Mode > Display > Analog > TEMP at 4 to 5 degrees centigrade, check J302A- 10,11,12 and 13 on the DC Controller.

Then compare them with J3002D 4,3,2 and 1, going to Environment Sensor PCB HU1.
If the 3.3 VDC is low or missing, try cutting tie wraps and or replace harness FM2-2839-000.
If the 3.3 VDC is good, check the ground at the Environment sensor PCB.
If that is OK, try replacing the Environment Sensor and or the DC controller PCB.

    or----------

clearing the first partition of the Hard Drive may resolved the problem. To perform the Hard Drive clear go into service mode COPIER>FUNCTION>SYSTEM
Select CHK-TYPE and set it to 1 and press OK.
Next select HD-CLEAR and press OK.

Note: HD-Clear is not available on the 30 series machines without the PCL/UFR II Printer Kit-E3 installed.

ImageRunner is responding slowly when accessing the menus or when performing functions such as copying or faxing.

There may be bad or corrupt data on the Hard Drive making it necessary to clear that data.
To do this you would perform a HD-Clear from service mode.

It is very important to print out the user data list, the address book, and any import information in the mailboxes before using this procedure, because this will erase any user settings and mail boxes.

To perform the HD Clears go into service mode COPIER>FUNCTION>SYSTEM

Select CHK-TYPE and set it to 1 and press ok.

Then select HD-CLEAR and press ok.

Select CHK-TYPE and set it to 2 and press ok.
Then select HD-CLEAR and press ok.

Select CHK-TYPE and set it to 3 and press ok.
Then select HD-CLEAR and press ok.

Select CHK-TYPE and set it to 4 and press ok.
Then select HD-CLEAR and press ok.

After completing this procedure, power cycle the copier and re-enter any user settings.

      Hello,

From your message, I understand that your machines are faster than what they're used to be. Is this what you mean ?

I think he means the machine is now slower than it used to be when it was still new. Possibility of corrupted data on hard drive as teckat says, a firmware upgrade is one of the possible solutions.

          & PPM

all of this speed is different/
last time a customer pulled out a stop watch on me>I told him this is a copier not a track meet

Note: Network print speed is another Animal (connections/documents etc.)u name it-----------------

also -if your fix unit temp is constantly checking itself> that is another issue

has nothing to do with weather/ (only during printer warm up time ) unless your printer is under water or on a street corner

          First Print Time
          imageRUNNER 4570/3570: 3.9 seconds

          Copy Speed
(Except when paper is fed from the stack bypass)

          STMTR 11" x 17" (200%)-22

          Warm-Up Time
30 seconds maximum after powering ON (when no optional equipment is attached)
Approximately 10 seconds from the Sleep mode
Activation time may vary depending on the conditions under which the machine is being used. (In all cases, at a room temperature of 68 .)
