canon ir1600 - prints but retries paper 3 or 4 times

dear all,
i have a new problem with my canon ir1600. When i print A4 or A3 it prints the first paper and then the second paper jams everytime.
Then i tried printing by placing one paper at a time. it prints good but retries for paper 3 or 4 times (sound from paper tray).
NOW whenever i have to print more than one papers i have to place paper one by one in the paper tray. it is very annoying. KINDLY HELP.

your problem because of the pick up solinoid became sticky , you should to clean its plate suface, and contact area of the solinoid core
o eplace it, you will find this solinoid at the rear of pick up assembly

Adjust the Separation Pressure Spring for top cassette feed to the far left position, also cut all tie wraps to the Cassette Feeder Driver PCB.

When feeding three pages out of the cassette, a fourth is immediately fed and the jam code 1020 occurs. This will occur with other quantities selected.

the Cassette Pickup Solenoid SL151.
The solenoid should only be triggered when PS152 the retry sensor does not detect the leading edge of the paper within a specific period of time. The problem was that the solenoid would fire even after the allocated amount of paper was fed.
The code was logged in Service mode #10 Report > Jam/Err Log report.
The part number for the solenoid is FH6-5044-000.

Using the 'user mode key' on the control panel, check that the paper settings A4 or A3 corresponds to the physical placement or orientation of the papers in the cassettes.

i am sorry that i did not mentioned that my machine has two paper trays one is set for A4 and another one for A3. And the problem happens from both the trays. When i went thru the service manual i noticed that the solenoid sl151 is in each paper tray. So i do not think that both the solenoids would be malfunctioning at the same time.

so u have the same exact issue from both trays

did u check the cassette unit controller pcb.

u have a iR1600 >>>> u can only use a single Cassette unit F1 or a Three Cassette unit H1

The iR 1600 can only use Cassette feeding unit-F1, a single cassette unit, or Cassette feeding unit-H1, a three-cassette feeder.
This unit cannot use the Cassette feeding unit-G1. It is only for the iR 2000.
The optional accessories for the iR 1600/2000 are listed in the service guide.

I am using two paper trays for the last 5 years and no problem untill now. Now since few days i am facing this unique problem. i hope that does not do anything with two trays or three trays.

Intermittent 0202 Jam Code

it maybe necessary to adjust the pressure on the separation roller (P/N FF6-1621-000) from the cassette/cassettes that the jam has occurred.
To either increase or decrease the pressure on the separation roller, move the torsion spring (P/N FB6-1902- 000) up or down one notch on the guide plate (see Figure 1 pic).
Note: This adjustment is not found in the in the service manual.

Move Torsion Spring down (to left) a notch to decrease separation pressure.

Move Torsion Spring up (to right) a notch to increase separation pressure.

Note: In addition to the previously mentioned separation spring adjustment, tie wraps may also cause this problem to occur.
The following procedure is suggested only if the separation spring adjustment does not resolve the issue.

PROCEDURE:
Remove the rear feeder panel; P/N FB6-1607-000 and carefully remove all the tie wraps coming off the Feeder Driver Assembly; P/N FG6-8648-000 (see Figure 2 pic).
