If I remember correctly (from Teckat)

Printer properties / Preferences / Quality / Details

than Activate the : Line Control [Gray Compensation]

That should do the trick

where is this original from-------? scanned in to PC
or created in a app ?

what driver ?
a PCL6 driver will BOLD these areas but the UFRII Driver will print them correctly.
