    Canon C2880 Network Help

    Greetings Forum,

I am trying to setup network config for the Canon C2880 . Can someone tell me how to get and configure the right IP address?

I want to use the UFRII program to configure the pc.

    Thanks in advance.

ps. I think I am asking the right question

    Hi,
You have to go:Additional functions(button),System settings(touch sc reen),network settings(touch screen),then IP address and set up whatever your network allows you to ie within the same range but be careful not to duplicate an existing address. Also set subnet mask usually 255.255.255.0 but must be same as your network.

When loading the driver use Setup and also load DIAS.(check the box).
It will be much easier to configure the copier first, then connect the network cable etc and restart the copier. Then load driver on PC and choose to search for printer(I am assuming Windows here).
    Good luck

first hit additional functions then system settings then go to network settings touch setting change turn it to yes then go to tcp/ip settings ip4v then enter your ip address, subnet and gateway or turn on dhsp witch is not recommanded.. when done turn machine off and back on.. make sure you turn it off the right way.. then you can ping the machine to make sure it is on the network.. andload drives and your done.. if everything is correct..

if the customers net work supports dhcp I like to use that as a short cut because dhcp automaticaly fills all blanks if i.t. has allready set aside an ip adress for that machine then you only have to change last set of numbers in ip feild if no ip address has ben set for machine then you have a good ip adrees to use, point users print driver to machinse ip and youre good, sometimes i.t. will give you an ip address with wrong sub net but dhcp all ways pulls a good address. dont forget to turn dhcp back off before you leave or the machine will pull another address and nobody will be able to print anymore
