    Canon ir 1730f/fuser /question

    HI,
    Customer has Ir 1730F with knocking noise from fuser.ONE GEAR looks very frayed(White gear that drives fuser).Is it easy enough to change fuser gears or am I
    better off replacing fuser unit,I couldn't find rollers separate from unit and service manual didn't have fuser disassemble in it.
    Any help kindly appreciated.

    is the noise like a train? .....toc..toc..toc

    if the answer is yes, you could adjust the screws that you can see in the picture.they are back the machine.

        Hi Cucu,

        If the gear on the fuser is stripped that bad.

        It would be advisable to just replace the fuser, you don' t wanna have to get into disassembling and reassembling a fuser.

        Also I would check the screws that Ernesto told you to, just to make sure they are tight.

          THANK YOU.I ORDERED FUSER UNIT TODAY AND WILL LOOK AT POSITION OF Screws when I install.

            Fuser did the trick and I made sure screws were adjusted and aligned.
