Yes but it automaticaly reboots, sometimes while printing or somtinmes while scanning. We thought of it could be problem with network cable it could be shot, for this we replaced this with another cable and also with enternet pot and then also the same persists...

I'm helping someone today with a similar problem. The tech originally had a 2270 rebooting while scanning. He changed main controller. Was good for a few days but came back. When I went it was just randomly rebooting. Gonna replace the hard drive today.

Yea going to be something main con related. I've never run into that before. Is it logging an e-code or error when it's doing this?

I was confused with this problem i thought of to change Main controler but still got same result at last i enabled DHCP it picked another IP n then i fixed it and after that i got result now machine is working fine n it was nothing but was IP conflig.

And in this case it might be also network pot short, because earlier i gone through this problem... so plz also look in this...

            THANKS BRO...

If an IP address is taking down the copier there's a much bigger problem

Can you try to get a simple ethernet router and connect it with a good cable to see if it does it again? wich version of firmware do you have? could be a bug that instead of activating the DHCP getting an IP it restarts. just to eliminate possibilities.

We disconnected the customers Ethernet cable for 3 hours with no reboots. Plugged back in and got a reboot within 10 minutes. Just wondering why it wouldn't affect other equipment unless its just that port or cable. Other tech has been on this so I haven't seen everything. Will repost if we come up with anything. Haven't changed the hard drive yet. I think he's trying that tomorrow.
