Machine runs fine. I just want to fine tune it to the customer's needs.
Customer prints 350 gsm on a regular basis at no problems at all.

My issue is a more of a driver color interpretation issue...

First, dont print 350 gsm paper in a machine that is made to print 253 gsm.
Second, you have to make a calibration of fiery H1 with a digital spectrometer
that is compatible with Fiery Command Workstation.
Digital Spectrometer measure the ammount of cmyk dots printed and compare with dots in the color profile,
To understand better ....if the profile has itself 3 dots of red color for example but spectrometer reads 4 dots, the fiery reduce the amount of dots in the profile, bringing what we really need. That is calibration. But you must calibrate your pc monitor with a professional icq profile also.
    Hope to understand

The CLC copiers here provide top quality colour, but won't run any heavy stock. The machine you speak of is like a IRC4080 or 5185 here...business colour...not bad...RIP helps

I already specified in the first post that calibration was done (with eye one)

You remind of a colleague of mine (older tech) who keeps telling that phrase each time we talk about color machines

And I always tease him that he got old waiting for the printouts

              Hi,

I might be out of league in this since the last H1 that I hands on was like, 3 years ago.

If the driver used is from Fiery, look out for the settings called Colourwise. There are a few settings tweaks you could used.

You might also want to take note, calibration was it done with the same paper media you having issues with. Can't remember whether H1 able to store calibration based on different paper media.

Is your darker tone by chance due to all CMYK being printed on the same area? Check if there a setting call 100% GCR profile?

Have fun with that H1, it a good rip to serve as alternative to the true CLC
