Canon ir c2880 - insert waste toner bottle message

Have a c2880 that has a "insert waster toner bottle' message that will not go out. Have inserted a new bottle and still it stays on. Where is the sensor for this? I know where the one is for the waster toner full, is it the same sensor? It was working and just came on and now will not go off. Is there a way to disable it?
    Thanks

The Sensor for the 'insert waste bottle' is located below the Waste Tube, the cover of this black tube is pushed back when the big round hole of the container is pushed in, there is a 'Sensor Flag' built into the black tube which the Sensor detects and the sensor which is located in a stupid place fills up with spillage from the black toner hopper assy.
With a good torch and a straw, push the tube back & blow out the sensor with the straw or vacuum it.

Don't blow too hard that infamous e990 sensor is right above and behind this sensor.

I find it best to take out the little beige cover that is just above the bottle. Three screws and out she comes. Then move the spring loaded cap that is on the waste exit and you will see the sensor. This will also prevent you from blowing toner all over the laser slit glasses which will create another different problem .
