iR3300 with E000019000

Hello all you lovely Canon engineers,

I feel like a tourist in this forum as I usually frequent the Konica Minolta part of this site.

Anyway, I wonder if someone could offer some help prior to me visiting an iR3300 (never looked at one before)
The machine has a E000019000 code which I understand (from Google) is the waste box full. Is that the case?
Also, is there a code to get in to Service that I will need in order to clear the code?
Can I empty the waste box, or does it need to be replaced? I know the latest KM ones have sensor windows which mess up if you invert the full waste box

Any other snippets of advice for this code, or the iR3300 in general would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Taminol,

I would say that if you can get a new waste toner container, just replace it.

Its always better to replace the part rather than try to empty it, unless you have no other choice.

I am also not too familiar with this model, but if you have a vacuum with you, it might be possible to open the cover/ slide on the waste toner container and vacuum out some or most of the toner until you can get a replacement one to put in.

I would not suggest turning it upside down as this can cause issues with the sensor window.

These bottles are easily emptied. never replaced the bottle on these. To each their own though. If you bill em do it if you don't bill em empty it

welcome Taminol to our dark side , same here, always emptied them, the window where the sensor reads it is just under the opening so it's easy to clean, if you emptie it and clean the small windows for the sensor to read you probably won't need to clear the error

It's been a while since I worked on these but if I remember correctly the windows on these WTB's had a tendency to get messed up regardless of how full they were and we just drilled out the window. After that just make it a regular thing to check on the bottle to avoid it over filling.

A good cleaning of the waste box sensor area requires alcohol.
If you intend to start working on Canon machines, its better to acquire manuals. They save your googling time.
