Huh???? That is a valve motor error....inside bottom of ink tanks. Carriage won't fix that

        Re: IPF9000

        The error points to

        A) the valve of the purge unit.

You will need to remove the covers on the right side - inspect & test the purge unit for its functionality
or replace it with new one and see what happens
If the printer has a lot of usage I would replace the purge even if it is not causing errors.

        B) Carriage problem related to the pin of the purge

        Good luck !

This error refers to the open/close of the ink supply valve, not the purge unit. Purge unit errors are 2f20 and 2f2d. If you pull off the ink tank cover you will see the valve motor unit

If you are reading from SM than probably it is pointing you to the wrong direction.

In copiers what you read in SM is about 99 % correct - but in LFP-s is about 50 % correct. At least that is my experience

Anyway I don't like to start a debate on who's right or wrong....

mkopoiuy can check both places himself and if he knows what to look for - he will fix the problem

Yes its from manual....Also bulletins,my buddies at Tech Support.....I have been doing ipfs for many years...same code for 9400s,etc. Believe what you want...show me something to prove your position...there is nothing. Not here to get into a pissing match....I know i'm right. I just don't like to give misinformation...worse than none at all.

On my book it says "purge unit"
