    Stripped Lines on SRA3

    Hello!
    I have a problem with Canon CLC5151
Printing from bypass A3 or SRA3 heavy 2 paper (250 gsm),shows me stripped lines using each color.
Changed fuser, changed separation roller, drums are very good and low meter, itb also is so good and this problem happens only printing from bypass large and heavy paper.
Printing from cassettes A4 and A3 the image is really perfect.
I printed a test page with cmyk separated and the problem is present in each one color even in black color that couldnt be seen in attach, because of image scanning.
    test.jpg

    Really i am stucked!
    Thank you

    Re: Stripped Lines on SRA3

How is the image on belt before 2nd transfer?
From cassettee you can do 64-209gsm and By-pass 64-253gsm,could be sommething related on fusing or transfer path
Defects are simple, our mind is complicated

      Color imageRUNNERs -
Recommended is Simplex or PLAIN paper settings from Canon > Even when using heavy stock/coated in trays or bypass-

??? MOST IMPORTANT>>> is this stock --heavy 2 paper (250 gsm) from inside pre-packaged paper ? or from a paper company that uses short cuts on large bolts of paper> meaning they make cuts against the grain to save money & stock ? papers with high rag content and bond papers create the most fiber particles.
Grain During the paper manufacturing process, paper fibers are predominantly oriented in one direction, known as the grain direction of paper. Long grain paper has the grain direction running parallel to its longer dimension, and is the recommended choice for LTR direction. Also note the actual feed direction or placement of paper. Even though LTR is preferred long grain, the direction of feed is “short grain side”. Paper is normally stiffer in the grain direction. A little known fact is that a paper supplier can custom produce (cut) paper in the desired grain direction for a nominal increase in cost. When faced with a customer’s paper choice that does not yield satisfactory results, this approach might just “save the day”.

point to note> like I stated before "I NEVER USE THE HEAVY SELECTION OPTIONS"

one test is to remove right side cover over ITB >set up PG10 & VIEW image on ITB BELT
      before transfer

See if image on the transfer belt has a light lines running through it
Secondary Transfer Assembly--Suspect that the static eliminator is maybe arching to the belt. The static eliminator is part of the secondary transfer assembly.

run same stock without heavy2 selection> select plain paper for bypass to run test

remember > not to many issues can cause this
      > it's not rocket science

First i thought this is a paper problem, but how this can suposed to happen only in large paper, because printing 250 gsm A4 paper from bypass is really ok!Printing with same paper in clc3220 everything is ok.

The 5151 & 3200 are two differant animals when it comes to fixing

There are no miracle solutions --
U need to follow a testing procedure, which involves> observation

Also i think it is not a miracle solution, but really i am stucked.Printing A3 plain paper from cassettes and bypas is really good and the only think i know about the problem is that it happens only from bypass with 250 gsm paper(i have to print on this )I tried to print heavy paper choosing as plain paper but i had density problem and the stripped lines also on it.I have inspected itb and everything is ok and set B Tray, straight to the fuser for paper delivering. The same sh....!!!!PS. Also check ITB gears and separation gears but they look ok.
