I have a decommissioned IR C3220 with a side paper deck. Is it possible to remove the side paper deck from the IR C3220 and install it on my IR C5180

Re: Side Paper Deck Compatibility
Paper Deck-P1 ==3200 is older
Paper Deck-Y1==5180 had the updated sub #parts
the P1 & Y1 Decks are basically the same> pick-up unit has a different part #
P1--FG6-9260-000 /PAPER PICK-UP ASSEMBLY
Y1 --FM2-7927-000 /PAPER PICK-UP ASSEMBLY had some of the updated sub #parts (as in 020's/030's)**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -

Re: Side Paper Deck Compatibility
Thanks so much! I was able to set the paper size.
But it doesn't work anyway. I suspect the revised pickup unit is required for it to work. The paper begins feeding but the final drive roller on the deck never runs, so the paper just sits there and the printer calls an alarm. There seems to be an electric clutch on the roller that doesn't engage OR the motor stops for some reason or another.
At any rate, I am out of time for now. I may try to do some troubleshooting later. Let me know if you think there is something easy that I am overlooking.Comment
