[Misc] can not enter service mode irac2020

hello

I have a canon irac 2030L and i can not enter service mode with *28*,, i have also tried with *49*. the buttons are working fine and are not sticky. any help woul be much appreciated. thank you

Tried to press separately 2 and 8, as is in BW 1022.., but it doesn't work either. I will see if i get it to download mode tomorow.

Check for a stuck fax volume button switch. In the photo below, you can see that the actuator for the switch is actually stuck in the body of the switch. Replacing the Volume PCB Assembly resolved the issue. C2020 / C2030 ==FM4-1198-000, Control Panel Volume Assembly.

Security features
To prevent unauthorized access to Service Mode, Password set is enabled.
■■ Related service modes
• COPIER > OPTION > FNC-SW > PSWD-SW (Level1)
Set password type for transition to service mode.
<Setting range>
0: No password (default)
1: Service engineer
2: System administrator and Service engineer.
• COPIER > OPTION > FNC-SW > SM-PSWD (Level2)
Password for service engineer for transition to service mode.
<Setting range>
To reinforce the security, change the password from a default.
******** (eight digit numeral) [default: 11111111]
After the above setting, to enter Service Mode, enter password screen will appear.

MEMO :
If Service Engineer’s password is forgotten, password function is cancelled by using
Service Support Tool (SST).

Service Mode Classic Level 1 follow the steps bellow:

1) Select Settings/Registration

2) Hit 2 & 8 at the same time

3) Select Settings/Registration

To go to Service Mode level 2, go to Service Mode level 1 and then:

1) Select Settings/Registration.

2) Select 2.


Go to Service Mode follow the steps bellow:

1) Select Settings/Registration

2) Hit 2 & 8 at the same time

3) Select Settings/Registration

4) Select Mode List

5) Select Copier

6) Select Option

7) Select FNC-SW

8) Highlight [Level 1] to toggle between level 1 and level 2.



you can change the way you enter the Service mode, by going into COPIER>OPTION>FNC-SW>SVMD-ENT.

0 = * 2 and 8 *

1 = *4 and 9 *

I was logged in, and can operate all of user settings, but nothing happens when i want to enter service mode (it opens settings/registration at end), on other machines, some of same series i was always able to enter with *28*, on the small one *>2>8>*
