IR2230 SMB scan/send with address book

    Hello all,

I'm trying to set up scan/send using the address book on an IR2230.

When I try to register a new address, I only have "Fax" for the type, I don't have the "File" or "E-mail" option.

I turned on the SMB server in the settings, is there anything else I need to turn on?

I've done this before multiple times on IR2535's with no issues.

Thanks for reading, any help is appreciated!

2230 is a kit to scan, sorry

EDIT: Looking at it there isn't even universal send available with a 2230, you need a 2270.

Doesn't the 2230 need the optional network printing kit for 'PULL"

Requires additional 20GB Hard Disk and 128MB RAM (ships with the UFR II Printer Kit-E3 and UFR II/PCL Printer Kit-E2).

It does require a kit for pull scanning.
These functions are available when the optional UFR II Printer Kit-E3 or PCL/UFR II PrinterKit-E2 is installed.

Sorry, I'm not well versed in copiers, please bear with me and my questions..

What exactly is a "Kit" ? And how do I find out what I have?

So the 2230 needs a kit for PUSH and PULL scanning?

          Thank you

EDIT: I should add that this copier functions properly as a networked printer.
