    IR1730i showing E0750

    Hallo allbody

    I have an IR1730 which wasn't coming on at all. I have changed the Main Controller and now its coming on but it shows E0750 which is a board mis-match error. Is there a service mode that one is supposed to run when fitting a new board or there's something I've done wrong????

    U have a firmware issue were u able or did u backup your data before removal / or do u have the old service data list

    Preparation before Replacement
    1) Request the user to backup the user data using remote UI.
    2) If possible, output the data of the unprocessed jobs.
    After replacing the Main Controller PCB, the data of the unprocessed jobs will be deleted.
    3) Print out the list of the service mode setting value in the service mode.
    REPORT> REPORT OUTPUT> SERVICE DATA LIST

    In the case of a machine in which FAX and SEND functions are installed, press the Push
    SW3 [1] of the Main Controller PCB, and check that LED10 [2] is turned off. (Shutting down
    the secondary power supply)
    MAIN.JPG

    Removed the SO-DIMM PCB
    ///? did u replace it back on new Main pcb.

    CAUTION:
    Even after turning OFF the main power switch and disconnecting the power plug from the outlet, power is still supplied between SO-DIMM and Secondary Battery Unit for backup of the image memory.
    When the Push SW3 of the Main Controller PCB is pressed while image is backed up, all the contents in the memory are cleared, therefore be sure to output all data in the memory before pressing it.

    1) When replacing the Main Controller PCB with a new one, be sure to perform the following
    procedure.
    • Download the latest firmware using UST.
    2) When backup data cannot be uploaded before replacement due to reasons such as damage of the Main Controller PCB, enter the value of each service mode item described on the service label.
    Since the values recorded on the service label may not be the latest at this time, check the service mode item list (#REPORT > REPORT OUTPUT > SERVICE DATA LIST) printed out in advance, and enter the values on the list.
    3) Turn OFF and then ON the power.
    (By turning OFF and then ON the power, the value entered in each service mode item becomes enabled.)
    4) Upon completion of the replacement work, request the user to restore the user data.

    NOTE:
    In the case of the EU model:
    If the firmware of the DC Controller PCB or the Main Controller PCB is not correct, the main power switch becomes OFF automatically.
    Therefore, when update of the firmware is not possible, turn on the main power switch after disconnecting the connector of the Power Supply PCB [1], and update the correct firmware which matched the model.
    After the update the firmware, install the removed connector by necessity.

        -------------------------------------
        for that FNC u may need to do a #CLEAR of something (will check)

        FNC usually means the Reader settings are off> need to be adjusted in service mode/ check your service label as shown below

        check below settings
        SCAN > READER > OPTION > USER > SIZE-DET
        <Setting value>
        0: The original size is not detected.
        1: The original size is detected.
        Perform the following procedure to switch between AB and inch configuration.
        1. SCAN > SCAN SW > SW06 > Bit2
        Set the value to 1 about the above service mode, and then turn the power switch to off
        and then on.
        2. SCAN > READER > OPTION > BODY > SENS-CNF
        Select the setting value.
        <Setting value>
        0: AB configuration
        1: Inch configuration
        To enable the correct paper selection, change the following setting of the paper size group
        if necessary.

        3. SYSTEM > SYSTEM Numeric > 057
        <Setting value>
        1: AB configuration
        2: A configuration
        3: Inch configuration
        4: AB / Inch configuration
        • When both the original size sensor 1 (PS22) and the original size sensor 2 (PS21) detect
        no original (sensor output levels do not change), select the following service mode to
        change the original size to be detected:

        SCAN > READER > OPTION > BODY > UNK-A5R
        <Setting value>
        0: Undefined size
        1: A5R or STMTR

        There are 2 types of Main Controller PCB.
        CAUTION:
        When upgrading the firmware of Boot and Bootable lang simultaneously, be sure to first upgrade Boot.

        what did u upgrade ?
        if u only did an upgrade of Firmware> In service mode, output #REPORT OUTPUT SERVICE DATA LIST
        u mean the Paper sizes are not what u had before ? is that on control panel

        SIZE
        or is paper sizes off on glass ???

        Check for your original Service Label: behind the rear cover (right)/
        there are factory settings u need to check on it--

          Thank you for your help. Sorry for being vague. (Machine giving me stress). I meant paper sizes. Its defaulting to "LTR" instead of "A4". I will go through the settings now and see what happens.
