Re: Canon Advance C5045 Error E-0025-0410
Tim C - Here is a pro active cut to the chase quick tip regarding toner bottle errors. Get a flexible wire, an old style coat hangar works best. It will give you the reach needed to get to end of the hopper tunnel. Cheat the door with a slim ruler like tool to pop the door open. If you catch it right theres no need to go thru tech mode. Shine a flashlight and check the flaps that normally grab the cartridge. Its usually 1 side which has "bitten" down. This is the ureaka moment. Use the hangar to flip it back into position. Out of probably 10 times this has occurred only once did it require me to look any further. The hangar should be a regular part of your tool bag, it was mine. If it is this easy then its not necessary to bill on the first call. Use it as an opportunity to instruct the customer and build satisfaction. They will look at you as a rarity amongst Canon techs. Apply the KIS Silly rule often.
