C5030 ir 3245 Seperation Pad Madness. Which part do you prefer ?

The 3225 has an updated part number FL3-5538-010 9 ( white plastic ) This is a better pad for sure and even with the new clutchs and an upgrade kit installed we can still see some 0004 jams. I guess this is normal.

For the C5030 family we got a new part number sep pad and a new guide to correct some multifeed jams. The Separation pad is FM4-1734 ( black plastic ) , this comes with an updated SPRING. Otherwise the separation pad to use here also calls for FL3-5538-010.

Question: Which has worked best for you? Holding them side by side you will notice the design is different!

I've been using the white plastic pad on pretty much every machine that I can get it to fit in. Sometimes I have had to modify the little tip on the front so it will fit into the mount properly.

The pad seems to last longer, but pretty much any customer who uses the DADF a lot, a pad system is useless for sep.
