Because you have replaced the Reader Controller, you must setup the ADF settings.
Go to SERVICE MODE > FEEDER > FUNCTION > SENS-INT.
Slide the ADF Paper guides to A4.
Press FUNCTION > TRY-A4 > OK
Slide the ADF paper guides to A5R
Press FUCTION > TRY-A5R > OK
Now you can use the ADF.Comment

We replaced the Paper Surface Sensor and did the ADF settings and it's still not raising the tray. Any other ideas?Comment

reinput rcon values
did all the inits
is still not lifting paper
the adf feed assembly does not lift up its in the down position and does not init up on power up
Running motor 0 it tries to turn can feel the motor getting a signal ie hard to turn
sent board out for repair came back good
replaced motor and motor harness
MEchanical issue in the drive train
ive looked and it appears to be okComment

sounds like a reader power supply problem for me--> if the adf tries to run it will draw current and the pws shut down. check for bad soldering joints and resolder, this is a common problem here since the using of lead free solder.
