[Error Code] IrAdvance C7055i E280-0001

Hi guys,

we've met this code a few weeks ago. It was resolved by cleaning the contacts/terminals/connectors on the reader controller board.
But today the code is back and neither cleaning or praying give us a fix...

before we replace any part, I'm sure you'll give me good ideas for resolving this trouble...!

E280 0001= is defined as a communication failure between the Reader Controller PCB and the Reader Optical Unit.

--make sure the Printers P-print has the values for ADJ-XY and CCD listed on it
also look in service mode to see if they are listedthere
you should check the harness between the Reader Controller PCB from connector J106 to the Optical or Scanner Unit

carefully inspect the ribbon cable
A damaged ribbon cable that connects the optical unit to the reader controller pcb can damage the reader controller. If a new reader controller is installed, the bad cable damages the new controller.



*After replacing the Reader Controller PCB make sure to execute the following adjustments in service mode:



- Sensor Output Adjustment FEEDER > FUNCTION > SENS-INT
- Tray Width Adjustment FEEDER > FUNCTION > TRY-LTR and TRY-LTRR
- White Level Adjustment COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD > DF-WLVL1 / DF-WLVL2 / DF-WLVL3 / DF-WLVL4
