    C3480i leaving lines on page

C3480i gets these lines on some pages sometimes. i think it is the itb cleanig assembly , because i have had this issue before and it stopped the lines. but i dont think that really resolved the issue, i think i just got lucky. i just this week installed all new drum units in the machine. thanks for any help

First check to make sure the paper guides in the cassettes are tight to the paper. you should have a void border all the way around the page. The color patches on the page look like the auto gradation patches. they could be from the ITB cleaner not working but you would see toner all the way across the page if the cleaner was bad. My guess is its from the transfer roller in the door. Those patches will show up on the transfer roller after gradation. If the paper in the cassette is too far to the front or back of the machine the patches would get on the paper. It should show up on the back of the print. But if this is a two sided print it will bi on the front if the page after it duplexes. Check the cassettes. Good luck!

those chevrons are laid down on the belt, if you see them than you can be assured that it's the itb cleaning that's failed.
