    ir advance 2230 ribbon cable

    Hi

    Does anyone have the part number for the two ribbon cables that go between the machine and the image reader? They are different from the IRC22xx series as they have a ferrite core on them.

    These ribbon cables have an attached connector on them, and the cable is not pulled out of the connector block by itself.

    Instead the block connector needs to be depressed at the top center of the connector to unlock it, and then the block and ribbon cable come out together. See the image below. The connector on the right has been unlocked and pulled out most of the way.

    Once the cable is pulled out check the foil contacts on the end of the ribbon cable. It should look like the cable in the image below.

    The part number for the ribbon cable is FK3-0863-000, Cable, IP-Reader Flat.

    Both cables are the same part number, see key # 9 in the image below.
