[Error Code] ADV C5235 E0074-0001 Anybody?

Primary transfer roller engagement/ disengagement error.
Intermittent, can go for days switching between colour and b/w printing.
I have replaced both sensors and stepping motor. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this.
    I don't want it to be dc-con.

    E074 0001 Error Code on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 / C5200 Series.

Primary Transfer Detachment failure on the ITB Assembly.

Canon has provided an update to prevent the clip from falling OFF. The pictures shown in "A" is the old style and "B" is the new style. The new style adds a sheet and a metal retaining ring as shown in "B". The new Retaining Ring part number FB6-6088-000 and the added sheet part number is FC0-4976-000.
Please see FIGURE 530A in the Parts Catalog as a reference of where this is located on the ITB Assy. The item 1 retaining ring is the old ring used (please do not order this part as it has been replaced by FB6-6088-000)

      E074 0001/ 0002

      Problem :
The machine was having E074 0001 and 0002 errors several times a day. It was also noticed, that sometimes the motor (M15) will run backwards (counter clockwise). Tested a working machine using COPIER > FUNCTION > PART-CHK = 15 (Primary Transfer Separation Motor M15) and the motor on the working machine runs only clockwise when tested.

      Solution :
Checked the sensors (PS22 and PS23) in I/O mode (P022 - bits 9,10)...o.k. Checked the voltage at the intermediate connector (J5070) to M15 using the test harness. On a working machine, when M15 rotates, J5070 pins 16,15,14, and 13 are ~10V. At rest, these pins should read either 0V or 24V. Two of the 4 pins on the E074 machine had different voltages on them at rest than the working machine. Suspect a wiring issue with M15. Ohmed the wiring from M15 (J5070) to UN4 (J304) the Drum Driver PCB. Found an open circuit on pin 15. There was a broken wire on the 19 pin intermediate connector J5078 in the back of the machine. This intermediate connector sits below the black drum drive. Repaired the wire and tested. Now all of the voltages are correct, and the motor runs only clockwise when tested.

Note: See an image of the broken wire and intermediate connector attached.
