    Canon IR2800 Format the hard drive.

    I can't recall the method to format the hard drive on this box. Can someone please tell me. Turn on and hold something down I think. * 8 maybe?

    To format and flash the machine you Service Support Tool, SST. You can go into service mode *28* COPIER>FUNCTION>SYSTEM>CHK-TYPE and clear HDD partitions.

      That's not it. The display creates blocks as it formats.

        -Hold down the 1 & 9 keys while turning the main power switch on and let the machine go through a disk defrag (should take about half an hour).


        power off printer>hold down 1 & 9 key > while holding >power back up> hold keys until white blocks start dropping

        works sometimes> if not u get a NG > time to replace HD
