    IRAC5045

    Hi All
I'm working on a IRCA5045 that is getting code E000075-0003. I have installed the ITB rebuild kit and ran the ITB-INIT and all was good. Then after 2 hour the code came back. I adjusted the ITB tracking plate under the ITB motor and copier was running again. later that day code came back. When I went out the next day turned the machine on and copier started up just fine. If anything it looked like the belt was coming to the front but copier was running. Now the code is back and the last call I checked ITB-POS was 169. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you

adjust the standoffs under the machine, run an itb-init and do it 4-5 times until your value doesn't sway by more than 50. Once it's completely level it should be within 20 (within 20 of the previous value). Transfer roller and bearings wear down and chew out the shaft causing irregular pressure front to back and the steering can't compenstate. Also when you did the rebuild did you ensure that the belt went underneath the guide near the "flag" for the sway detection?

Don't know if you got this bulletin or not but it'll explain most of what Canon has seen to cause this code.

I followed the bullitan and the info you gave me and the problem went away for a while but came back 2 days later. In the rebuild kit it came with a 2nd transfer outer roller not a 2nd transfer inner roller and bearings. If anyone has anything else I can do for this machine that could help.

      Thank you

If you did the levelling adjustment (via the black casters underneath the machine) and itb-init is getting a largely different value each time you run it (check via copier > Display > Misc) then you got a shaft that is worn down. When you reinstalled the ITB on the ITB assembly did you put the belt underneath the guide just before the sway detection sensor? If so you'll need to remove each shaft from the unit and look for any worn down areas (Doesn't take much at all)
