Difference of C-EXV and GPR

Good day to All,

Just want to ask what is the difference between C-EXV Drum unit or Toner to GPR Drum unit or Toner. Because we usually use C-EXV Drum unit and toner here. Is there possibilty of any damage or any problem will occur in case we mixed the GPR Drum unit or Toner. Thanks in advance

can't find any info in Canada on them. Must be a european part number or something. Can't even look up pricing/availability on the c-exv toner part numbers that I've been able to find. They are made by Canon just I can't get any info on my end here.

C-EXV is the original or genuine product whiles the GPR is the compatible one. GPR is cheaper that the C-EXV, some GPR works perfectly like th e C-EXV, but some usually have problem (poor quality output).

Everything is easier: GPR - for the American market, C-EXV - for European and Asian market.

I have 2 theories about toner & drums:

1. There is a big Canon factory in China were toner is "produced" and than bottled as per continent.

2. There is a sub contractor who does it for Canon (still in China though).
For exp. the latest OEM drums I believe are produced by Mitsubishi (but I might be wrong on this one)

So I would not worry much - as long as there is written "Canon" on top

yes that's right. Both are genuine but different market between America and Europe.

What is NPG toner? One of our customers have NPG-52 for IRAC2020i. Asian market maybe?

In Philippines they are using NPG Toners. So you're right maybe in ASIA
