control panel dead on ir 6075i

Ive got a ir 60751 where the control panel is dead except for the green light.I cant go into any test modes to reload firmware or anything as the panel is dead. there is nothing wrong with panel as i havetewsted it on another canon with same panel. the ram i have also tested. Can anyone help as i am stumped.

i would strongly suspect main controller 1, as this controls the system. Could also be a hdd, as well, and possibly a power supply. Usually main controller 1 is the culprit.

Turn off main switch and hold down 28,turn on...see if it will go into download mode. Get your meter out and see if you have proper outputs on LVPS....

i cant do the switch on and hold 28 as the panel is not working, am i correct in thinking that if the hard drive is faulty that the control panel will still come on but showing an error

typically you would get a E602 and a dos like screen.

ok great so then the HDD should be ok im really stumped with this one and funny thing is when I got to the machine this morning it came on and then when you switch it of and back on again the panel just doesn't come on
