    Canon IR2535 Printing Problem

I have a Canon IR2535 that prints black bars on the back of the last page when running double-sided printing.

The customer prints documents from online that are in PDF format and when there is an odd number of
    pages it the bars.

I created a 3 page word document as a test and ran that double sided and it did the same thing. This was
from a different computer. Last page had bars on back.

Only does it on odd numbers of pages. I would have thought that since there was no page for the second side
    it would just print blank.

Using UFRII software latest version available but I did try an older version and same deal.

Canon defaulted this print driver set to double sided otherwise a single page was coming out with the bars.

Changing the default to single sided fixed that.

I have never seen anything like this before. I ran the same 3 page document double sided on an older machine we
have and it did just fine.

Black digitized lines on the last page of duplex print job.
Only occurs when the page count is an odd number. An example is when a 3 page job is duplexed, the fourth side is expected to be a blank page and instead it has lines.

Duplex print jobs with even number page counts print correctly. Duplex copy jobs print correctly.

    Fix

    Reload the System Software.

      Re: Canon IR2535 Printing Problem

Thanks!!..I will do that Monday. I had confirmed it wasn't their computer or that it was print driver related.
I tested a print job on another machine like theirs and that confirmed it was a machine problem.

Odd problem and their may be others doing that but most people don't do double sided with odd number of
      pages.

I will follow up on this thread Monday.

      Again..Thanks!

        Re: Canon IR2535 Printing Problem

I updated the machine with the newest software I have available V70.05.01 and it no longer prints solid
black bars across that last page. It does leave very faint marks across the page. Is there a newer
version of the software that might help that? I do not have access to the latest firmware.

I scanned this as dark as possible because they are very faint on the page.
The scanned image shows them a lot darker than they really are.

Sorry I failed to specify...those marks only occur when printing double sided with an uneven number of documents.
They show up on that last page that should otherwise just be blank. Copies and prints with even numbers of pages are
fine. Updating the software got rid of the more solid black lines it was making on that page.

defiantly a software issue/ seems like residual toner attraction /

Weird Issue u would think other techs or Canon had some feed back on this

                  possible transfer bias leaks
                  Service Soft Switch Settings (PRINTER)
                  ●●SSSW-SW14
BIT 0 - Transfer bias pressure reduction mode 1-Enable /0=Disable
                  Detailed Discussions of Bit 0
Select whether to enable or disable transfer bias pressure reduction mode.
Select "Enable" to avoid image defects (black spots) produced by transfer bias leaks occurring in a low-pressure region, such as one at a high altitude. This setting regulates the transfer bias to keep it from exceeding a predetermined level during printing.

the only thing i see on for toner issue on v76.02 is>

The following changes occur when upgrading the DCON of the imageRUNNER 2525/ 2530/ 2535/ 2545
                  copiers from v14.01 to v15.01:
                  No. Description
                  1-
                  [Measures to a field claim]
Modification to prevent toner scattering of the transfer on special paper (UPM) used in
                  China/ Korea/ Taiwan
                  during two-sided printing.

                  2-
                  [Modification of an error]
Modification of an error when executing a job of which B5 paper is picked up from Cassette 1 in and imageRUNNER iR2530 models, and if a pickup retry occurs, the motor keeps rotating.
                  3
                  [Specification change]
Specification has been changed so that remaining toner can be indicated in increments of 1% on the UI for Print Fleet.
