Canon irc 5180 Send file

Dear all ,

can any one tell me the steps how to send a file directly from the machine to the pc ,i made a folder and share it but it didnt works i wonder why !


please can you helped me im using win 7

You can scan a document and send it by E-mail as an attached file. You can add a name, subject line, message body, and reply-to-address to the E-mail. The scanned image can be sent as a TIFF, MTIFF, JPEG or PDF file depending on the imageRUNNER model.

To scan in a document and send it to an email address:
1) Place the originals in the feeder and press the SEND button and specify the destination.
2) Press the SEND SETTINGS and press SEND DOC. NAME to add a name to the document being sent and press OK.
3) Press SUBJECT and enter the data to the subject line and press OK.
Note: The subject may be up to 40 characters.
4) Press MESSAGE and enter a message body and press OK.
Note: The message body may contain as many as 140 characters.
5) Press REPLY TO and select the reply-to-address and press OK, then press DONE.
6) Select the file type of the image from the drop down list. Here you may choose between TIFF, MTIFF, JPEG or PDF.
7) Press START and the process will begin.







imageRUNNER C3170 / C5870U / C6870U / C5180 / C5180i /C4580 / C4580i / C4080 / C4080i / C3380 / C3380i / C2880 / C2880i and Black-and-White Universal Send Enabled imageRUNNER Models:

These models will allow you to forward documents from a mailbox to another destination via the Send button, except for jobs printed to the mailbox with the PS3 driver.

If printing to the mailbox using the PS3 driver, you will NOT be able to forward using Send. After testing with the PS3 driver, the PS3 driver sets the document as CMYK and when try to send out of a mailbox you may get a CMYK error. In addition, after testing with the PCL and UFRII jobs that have been sent to the mailbox they are able to be forwarded using Send.

Thank u teckat , but my problem is the workgroup i can see it on the search from the machine but when i tried to click on it didnt contain anything .is theres any thing in the settings must do it.once i read a post contain step by step how to use the send .

If you see workgroup but not a computer check that you are properly shared folder.

thanks it works but ,when i made a new folder and i also made a share for it ,it appeared on the copier and i clicked to send on it when i press the start key it gave me on the screen check server ,but when i send it to Public folder it works just on the folder that i made it gave me check server when it send i ownder why .
