    having trouble with windows 8

seems that every machine we try to set to print from a windows 8 64 bit computer never works. getting the drivers from usa.canon.com, it says detected windows 8 64 bit but when trying to finish setup always errors out. has anyone had the same trouble and found a way to get printing with windows 8? thanks in advanced.

No problem at all here, works fine. First, download the driver from the canon site, then place and unpack it i a folder of the hard drive, name the folder canon_driver or what you like. Then add new printer, set up the ip port uncheck(!) the automatic driver search, then choose the path to the driver.
Do NOT use the setup routine. This should work
