    Canon image runner advance c5030 error 733

    Hi all..i have a irac5030 which has been knocking about warehouse for some time...i have the lovely job of refurbing machine...when power up ot show err code e0733 and e0733-0001...i have swopped relay board as canon suggested but still no fix...in service mode it is showing no versions on anything main / dc / lang etc etc...fails at firmware upgrade...any help much appriciated!!!

    WHen you hit the shutdown button on the right hand side does it actually shut down?

    Edit: the two blue ZIFF sockets right behind the inner 2 way tray can cause this code as well.

    do you have 12 or 24 VDC going to the DC Controller on J129?

    one case I found was dcon was replaced and SSW reloaded, this specifically said versions were a -

      Thanks for reply...machine powers down as normal...will check those sockets ...all firmare is showing as --

        check those light blue and pink ziff sockets first, apparently they're too tight on some units. Make sure nothing's hanging the wire down.

          Sockets and voltages are fine...when upgrading firmware all ok then fails on dc con version up error...i have swopped dc cont ...still no joy...??

            have you tried reseating all of the DIMM's on the controller pcbs also try reseating both controllers and look for bent pins on the bus board the controllers plug into

              Reseated all connecters today...still no further...clean main controller ..still same..bizarre ..swopped dc cont ..still same ...firmware fails saying dc con version up err...have downloaded lastest firware ..still fails...any other advice greatly received!!!!...before i order main controller 2

                Are these the original pcb's from this machine? Were any pcb's swapped out from any other machine? Aside from the Dc controller?

                    Controller SystemError Diagnosis Tool
                    This tool allows more detailed error diagnosis in a startup sequence after passing Boot System Error Diagnosis Tool.
                    This tool automatically checks the Main Controller PCB 1/2, child PCBs mounted on the Main Controller PCB 1/2,
                    and HDD, and displays the results on the Control Panel.
                    This tool is stored in the storage where HDD, Flash PCB, and other firmware are stored. Therefore, this tool cannot
                    be used when the tool has been deleted or when the storage where the tool isstored cannot be accessed.
                    The startup procedure is shown below.
                    1) Turn ON the Main Power Supply Switch while pressing the numeric keys "2" and "4" simultaneously.
