Touch Screen doesn't respond in Canon IR 7105

    Hello Everyone,
LCD panel on my IR 7105 doesn't respond. Otherwise, machine is functioning normally. Is humidity a factor? I tried pulling the plug off the wall. It seemed to work on my KM C5500.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

U could try and re-seat Main PCB connectors

u may need to replace the Touch Panel inside of the Control Panel.
The part number for the Touch Panel is FK2-7407-000.

If panel working but not responding on touch try to heat whole panel 10min with 60-70C.

I repair over 50 panels and only 1 don't work
            How it works?
Most electronic components are mounted on a PCB using thermal adhesive that at a certain temperature, attracting the components to the PCB by soldering better. Over time, these contacts know partially lost. When the entire panel heated happen exactly that. In most cases the contacts are connected again. These are the basics

Anyway, if don't working just buy a new one.

Just change touch sheet...don't need to change whole panel. I have changed many.....FK2-7407 like Tec has stated

thanks> I know all about board repair & and individual component replacement (tracing down issues to a single component)

Canon does not provide these analog wiring diagrams anymore (thank god !!!) it's cheaper to send out board then wasting time & money on them.
I understand in some locations that use Shop Repair, u have time to accumulate & test boards because of limited funds.

In big cities & high end customers> they want fixes before u enter the door

To be perfectly clear. Personally, if I was able to change a defective part with a new one, I prefer it. But if I have to wait 30 days on new then I'll try to fix it. If we copier is not working for 30 days, I'm losing profits. Canon and other brands, are very slow in sending parts. It is sad but true.
