check ADF reader sensors, machine is telling you that probably because she "understands" you have paper in the ADF also, so being she asks you to remove the paper from the copy glass, try it with the reader disconnected and let us know

went and checked machine today. the machine will work perfect if you dont lift the feeder. as soon as the feeder is lifted the machine will error out saying remove doc. from glass as soon as you put in paper to copy. turn the machine off and back on, dont open the feeder and it works great. im stumped.

Lift the feeder higher when placing document.

Most copiers have a 45 degree sensor to read original size.

Weird solution is to turn off the lights above the machine.
May be getting a false positive signal due to outside light.

Also check sunlight shining on the machine.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Have you tried to clean ADF sensors?
